Every year OOPSLA has a series of scholarships opportunities to help encourage new participants at OOPSLA and most importantly to attract the best and brightest from academia to participate. Educator's Symposium

ACM Women Scholarships

Call for participation

ACM-W is pleased to announce a new program that will provide support for women students in Computer Science and related programs (at the undergraduate or graduate levels) who wish to attend research conferences. OOPSLA is proud to support and facilitate recipients of this scholarship to attend OOPSLA and be mentored by leading women in the OOPSLA committee. Doctoral Symposium

Call for participation

The OOPSLA 2008 Doctoral Symposium provides useful guidance for the completion of the dissertation research and initiation of a research career. The symposium consists of a dinner on October 19, followed by a full-day workshop on October 20. Student Research Competition

Call for participation

After its remarkable success in previous years, OOPSLA is again hosting an ACM SIGPLAN Student Research Competition. The competition, sponsored by Microsoft Research, is an internationally-recognised venue that enables undergraduate and graduate students to experience the research world, share their research results with other students and OOPSLA attendees, and compete for prizes.
